SUPER Furry Animals will play this year’s Festival Number 6, organisers have confirmed.
Celebrating its fifth year, the multi-award winning Festival No.6 has today announced the second wave of artists to join an already impressive live bill.
Playing Portmeirion for the first time, Super Furry Animals will be performing before a home crowd at No.6.
Described by Billboard magazine as “one of the most imaginative bands of our time” SFA need no introduction but needless to say the psychedelic troubadours set will certainly be a highlight of this year’s festival.
Joining the line-up is Canadian indie-rock supergroup Broken Social Scene and fresh from recording their second studio album psych-rockers Temples make a welcome return.
Also newly added is Portland alt-country stalwart M. Ward, German folktronica duo Milky Chance and feted post-punk noiseniks Eagulls.
With a career spanning almost forty years Mancunian post punk funk pioneers A Certain Ratio are also welcomed to the bill along with Formation, White, Clean Cut Kid, Babeheaven, Bad Sounds, Shells and breakthrough indie-popsters VYNCE.
Festival organisers have previously unveiled that Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will headline at this year’s festival, which takes place between 1-4 September
