Madam,

Can I, through your paper, say a big thank you to Paul James, our local county councillor for Llanbadarn Fawr.

On Tuesday of last week I went to put flowers on the grave of my husband’s parent in Llanbadarn Fawr Cemetery and was appalled at the state of the grave. It was covered in mud, dirt and grass, the headstone writing was illegible, and the urn and marble container had been put on another grave.

The grave below it had been opened up and obviously, being on a bit of an incline, had to be accessed by our family grave.

I immediately contacted Cllr James to find out who would be responsible for this.

My stepson and I then went to the grave an hour later to photograph and then clean it. But on arriving there, the grave had been cleaned, all done within an hour and a half.

Thank you Paul for your help. Very much appreciated by all the family.

Yours etc,

Lavinia and John Edwards, Llanbadarn Fawr.
