Madam,
Re the letter calling for people to fight against nuclear waste dumping in Cardigan Bay (‘Residents must fight nuclear waste burial in Cardigan Bay, 28 March. Well I don’t think for a moment that the Snowdonia National Park Authority would allow this to happen. Firstly, this is a Area of Outstanding Beauty. Secondly, this is an area people flock to. This is a terrain of green valleys, salt marshes and wonderful woodlands. To think this would all be taken away by the dumping of nuclear waste is unthinkable.
Take this waste elsewhere. There are many islands where this would be suitable to inter, but not on our wonderful Welsh coast.
I have the answer - fly it to the moon!
Yours etc, Jean Miles, Harlech.
