In response to the overwhelming criticism of Ceredigion council in the letters to the Cambrian News last week, I wish to offer some perspective and to thank the council for helping to keep us safe over the last 18 months.
Gold Command was always a temporary emergency measure which is about to end. Although this measure gave the executive more control, they exercised that power responsibly and in a transparent way.
I know that the safe streets measures were not universally popular, but as a family we really appreciated the additional space to keep us safe in Aberystwyth town centre.
