May I, through your letters page, thank people for the kind assistance I received after my car became stuck on Friday, 29 March at Abermad.

I don’t know the name of the first person who stopped to help, but a gentleman stopped and pushed my car off the road to safety.

He also spoke to a lady who took me to lunch in Llanfarian and gave me a lift to a local garage before taking me home.

I am elderly and I am very lucky that I live in a caring community where people stop and help.
