I would like to say a big thank you to Evan Jones of Doldre, Tregaron, who shared his special VE Day with Cambrian News readers.

Evan will have known my grandparents, Margaret and Evan Thomas, of 1 Well Street, Doldre and their seven children.

One of these children, my Aunty Katie, has lived in Tregaron now for over eight decades. She especially enjoyed Evan’s letter which brought back such strong and positive memories of Doldre neighbours and friends.
