On 21 November, I went to Elan Valley to meet a friend from Caerphilly. Unfortunately five minutes from the visitors’ centre I had a puncture.
I rang my breakdown - this was at 11.15am - the waiting time was three hours. My friend fetched me and we had a nice get-together.
The time was getting on and no sign of the breakdown vehicle. Several people stopped to ask if I needed help. My friend left then, as she had a long way to go, as did I.
Along came Sarah and Gary walking their dogs. He kindly changed my wheel so that I could make my way home. I want to say a big thank you to them and let Sarah know I will keep my promise to light a candle for her mum and dad who had sadly passed recently.
I was finally contacted by the recovery man at 5pm.
