To get you in the mood for the festive season, the Cambrian News has a great Christmas giveaway, with prizes worth hundreds of pounds in total.

The 12 Days of Christmas extravaganza, starting on 9 December, will feature a great prize to be won each day, through our Facebook and Twitter pages, with full details on our website.

We have teamed up with locally-based businesses, throughout our circulation area, to offer some fantastic prizes to help make your Christmas extra special.

Prizes up for grab include £50 worth of meat from the Moody Cow restaurant and farm shop near Aberaeron; an £80 hamper of goodies from Polly’s in Aberystwyth; and a pair of return rail tickets with Transport for Wales to the destination of your choice across to Birmingham, down to Cardiff or up to North Wales, Manchester, Chester or Liverpool.

For those who enjoy going out to dine or for a few cocktails, there’s a three-course evening meal for two plus a bottle of house wine, worth £75 to be won at Tafarn y Maes in Capel Bangor and a £50 voucher to be spent at the Y Banera cocktail destination in Aberystwyth.

A £50 hamper from tapas venue Ultracomida in Aberystwyth is on offer, along with a a family rail ticket for the Vale of Rheidol Railway, worth £55, plus three tickets worth £54 in total for Aberystwyth’s first Escape Rooms from Ultimate Escape Aberystwyth, based at Silver Mine Attractions Ltd.

A designer bottle of perfume from Cheri Milaney, worth £49, can be won, along with a portable Super Ser Heater, worth £120 from Morgans on Glanyrafon Industrial Estate. From the Arts Centre in Aberystwyth, there is a Spring 2020 dance show pass, worth £73, up for grabs, which gives you entry to the following shows: Shobana Jeyasingh Dance’s Material Men Redux; Kin from the National Dance Company Wales; 2Faced Dance Company’s Everything [But The Girl]; Birmingham Repertory Theatre’s Best of Be Festival; and Mark Bruce Company’s Return to Heaven.
