PEDESTRIANS in Tywyn have to contend with “three near misses a day” on one of the town’s junctions, according to local councillors.
Concerns have been raised for the safety of walkers crossing Tywyn’s busy streets as well as for vulnerable members of society who may struggle on the narrow pavements.
Town councillors expressed their worry whilst discussing the Post Office’s decision to relocate from their present High Street location to the Premier Store on Neptune Road, a tricky spot for pedestrians to negotiate as several junctions come together.
Although the council expressed its relief that Tywyn was maintaining a functioning postal service, there were fresh concerns about how safe customers would be.
