Walking Club

THE NEXT walk is scheduled for 10 September and is called ‘Snowdon – Summit, sunset and silence on Snowdon’ and the leader is Dafydd Wyn Morgan 01974 298 150.

Changing to a Saturday evening’s walk (with an option to stay overnight), this, now annual, ascent of Snowdon will be a breath of fresh air compared to recent morning ascents.

Making the most of a warm autumn’s evening we’ll take in a quiet summit and watch the sunset over Wales, Ireland and the North of England. Head torches on and head back down carefully. Sunset at 19.36.

The walk is graded a grade C - Hard walk which should last approximately six hours and is over a distance of nine miles with an ascent of 970ft/970m, and the meeting point is at 1.15pm outside Y Talbot and there is only room for a maximum number of 15.
