THE family of a devoted mid Wales dad have paid tribute to him this evening after he was killed in a crash.

Thomas Wyn Evans, known as ‘Winnie’ died following a crash on the B4569 Caersws to Trefeglwys road last Thursday evening, 16 September.

The 34-year-old dad’s silver Ford Transit van left he road at around 10.30pm and he died at the scene.

His family has this evening issued an emotional tribute to Winnie, who was from Caersws, saying: "The family are devastated by the passing of Thomas ‘Winnie’ Evans.

"A devoted dad to his boys, partner, son, brother and grandson.

“Loved by all his family, friends and the whole community.

"A truly popular man who worked and played hard.

“A loyal friend to so many. He always had a smile on his face.

“Quick to help whenever he was needed.

"The messages received so far are testament to how much he was liked and loved by so many.

“He will always be missed.”

Dyfed-Powys Police are investigating the fatal one-vehicle collision and are keen to speak to anybody with information about the crash that could help officers with their investigation or anybody with dash-cam footage who was travelling along the road on Thursday evening.
