HEARTFELT tributes have poured in following the “shock” death of a mum-of-two in Penygroes.

Eira Wyn Roberts, 34, was found dead after police were called to an incident in Water Street in the early hours of Saturday, 9 December.

The mum-of-two was found dead at her home in Penygroes – sparking a police investigation.

A man was arrested on suspicion of assault as police initially described the death as “unexplained”.

It has since been revealed the man had been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police also said that, following a post mortem, the death was not being treated as suspicious.

Eira’s friends took to social media to pay tribute to a “lovely woman”.

Donna Lynn Jones Hunter posted: “Eira Wyn the world will be a less special place without you in it.

My heart breaks for you and your family and lots of love to your baby girls.

“I will never forget you my childhood friend, they are the ones that have a forever influence in your life and I’m lucky I had you. R.I.P.”

Matt Palmer remembered her as a “remarkable” character.

Forensic investigators spent most of Saturday working at the scene and house-to-house enquiries were carried out.

Detective Inspector Sarah-Jayne Williams said: “Officers from the local policing team will visit the area to provide reassurance messages to all the residents.”
