TRIBUTES have been paid to a father who has died following a crash in Mallwyd.
In the early hours of Friday morning, 14 September, 25-year-old Kieran Hall, was flown to Royal Stoke University Hospital following a one-vehicle crash on the A458 at Mallwyd just after 5am.
After nearly two weeks spent fighting for his life, Mr Hall, from Stone in Staffordshire, died in hospital on Thursday evening, 26 September.
A family tribute released on Monday said: “Kieran was the only child of Julie Hall.
“He was the devoted and adored father of two young daughters, Summer and Isabelle.
“He was considered to be a brother to all of his friends.
“A gentle compassionate man with a heart of gold.
“He will be greatly missed by family, friends and colleagues.”
Kieran was a newspaper delivery driver and Russell Lacey from Cadfan News in Tywyn said this week: “Graham and I wish to express our shock and sadness at this news and send our condolences, and those of the area’s residents, to his friends and family at this terrible time.”
The one-vehicle collision involved a white Mercedes Sprinter van and police are continuing to appeal for witnesses.
Sgt Emlyn Hughes of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have been travelling along the A548 and who may have seen the white Sprinter van prior to the collision to contact us.
“Equally, we’d also like to speak to anybody who may have been travelling along the route around the time of the collision and who may have dash cam footage from their vehicles.”
The Cambrian News understands that Mr Hall was delivering newspapers at the time of his fatal collision.
Anyone who can assist the investigation is asked to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting reference number W131286.
