Madam,
We have just returned from a three-day trip to Aberystwyth with two grandchildren. We love Aberystwyth and will return but this trip was seriously damaged by large numbers of very large seagulls pooing on all buildings, roads, pavements and one of our heads, and emptying litter bins on the promenade and spreading unsightly litter around our feet.
Warm bird poo dripping from head to shoulder is not very pleasant and Aberystwyth has a serious problem.
In these days of economic uncertainty and large numbers of very attractive places in competition with Aberystwyth, without the severe bird poo problem (unsightly and health damaging), it would be wise to sort this out.
Many visitors to this wonderful town will not return to a place that is spattered everywhere with bird poo.
Yours etc,
John and Margaret Whitelegg,
Church Stretton.
