A POPULAR soap star launched his new book in Bala over the weekend.

On Saturday, 19 November, well known S4C actor Gareth Lewis was at Awen Meirion bookstore signing his autobiography Gareth Lewis yr hogyn o’r Felin.

Gareth was an actor for 55 years, before his recent retirement, as Mike Pierce, a popular character in S4C weekly soap Pobol y Cwm.

However, following his departure from television, Gareth did not stay idle for very long before committing himself to a new project.

He decided to record the history of his family, and ‘almost unconsciously’, the project developed a complete autobiography, which is both ‘entertaining and profound’.
