It is believed that presenting duo Ant and Dec have visited the most remote phone box in Wales, in the Cambrian Mountains in Ceredigion.
Project manager for Dyfodol Cambrian Futures, Dafydd Wyn Morgan said he received word that Ant and Dec visited the most remote phone box in Wales, near Tregaron, on 29 September, when a friend showed him a picture.
On 30 September the duo posted a picture on Twitter about their “quick trip to Wales in search of the #imaceleb castle”.
This year’s I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here will be held in North
Wales instead of Australia due to Covid-19 travel restrictions.
Dafydd said he is unsure why they were in the Cambrian Mountains, but said: “I half suspect that somebody has done a search on Wales, and they probably decided to go to several locations.
“Whether or not any of this will feature in the run up to the programme or if it will feature in the programme, we don’t know.”
The phone box has become an “iconic” landmark in Nantymaen as well as a lifeline for walkers, cyclists
and adventurers.
“It’s one of the most iconic structures in Wales, I would definitely put it up there with the castles,” Dafydd added.
“It’s one of those iconic locations and it’s remote, so guaranteed they could go up there and not be bothered.”
