TWO talented sisters from Meirionnydd have represented their country at a national dressage competition.

Ela and Anna Preston, who have both ridden with the Dolgellau and District Pony Club for many years, were selected to ride dressage for Wales at the Under 25s Championships at Sheepgate Equestrian, Boston, last month.

Ela was placed eighth individually and her Welsh team “Sosban Fach” gained a second placing. Anna was placed third individually and her team “Delilah” came sixth.

According to the girls’ mother, Janet, both girls felt “very proud representing their country in a sport that they love”.
