PRESIDENT Elisabeth Brown, opened the meeting at the Baptist Church on 5 January.The group sang Jerusalem. Eight apologies were received. The secretary read the invitation from Brithdir WI to join them to celebrate St David’s Day 7pm on 25 February. The treasurer then gave her report, before members went through the county newsletter and were urged to vote on the resolutions.The county St David’s Day afternoon tea will be held at Dyffryn village hall at 2pm on 26 February.Four members will attend the Welsh AGM at the Royal Welsh showground on 20 to 21 April. The NFWI AGM is in Brighton on 11 June. The December Clwb Cant was won by Elisabeth Brown. Nursing home visits are still ongoing. The Christmas dinner at the Woodlands went very well and thanks were given to the staff. The group will be back there on 19 January for a lunch . They then proceeded with the auction. A grand total of £37.73 was raised, before a quiz was held which Janet Mobley won. Greta manned the sales table.

Jean W won the prize and Annette won the plant. She gave it back and raised £5 for the kitty. The competition, for a bit of bling was won by Greta, with Elisabeth in second place, Ann in third and Annette in fourth. The president then closed the meeting. The next meeting is on Tuesday, 2 February at 2pm at the baptist church.
