THE members of the South Meirionnydd Older People’s Forum would like to thank Mark Blundon for his informative and entertaining talk on the workings of the Ynysmaengwyn Holiday Park.
Mark who is the site manager has worked on the site for 24 years.Mark described how basic the site facilities were, no water or electricity and no sewage.Improvements over the years are constantly being made and it is now a modern and up to date site.
Mark related some amusing and some distressing incidents over the years.
He explained how he continues to look forward to facing improvement tasks every day like planting trees to enhance the quality of the park for the enjoyment the holiday makers and visitors to the grounds.
Mark commented that it has been a happy place with people coming back year after year, coming as children and then as adults with their own families.
It is a safe place for children to play which makes the visitors feel secure.
Pathways are evolving more as the park is used, work is continuing with an Information centre in future plans. The park has licence for 115 static caravans, 30 tourers and 60 tents.
