Madam,

Many thanks to everyone who joined Mid-Wales Quakers’ vigil in Aberystwyth last week, to mark the culmination of the Cumbria to 10, Downing Street, Quaker Ride 4 Equality and the Common Good.

The aim of this event was to highlight what we see as the dismantling of the welfare state and the impact this has on the most vulnerable members of society.

All of us are diminished, when society defines individuals predominantly in terms of their economic value.

We hold that we can and should afford to care for each and every individual.
