Volunteers armed with rakes, buckets and wheelbarrows helped fix potholes prior to last Saturday’s parkrun at Llanerchaeron.

Run director Jen Caulkett, who organises the event with fellow director George Eadon, said the weekly event was attracting around 80 runners and walkers.

“It is reliant on volunteers to give up their valuable time and has a fantastic core team,” said Jen.

“Last Saturday, many gave up more time than normal to help fix the ground.

“They are an amazing group of people from our local community. And not only adults, but also several children took part.”
