TYWYN residents have been asked to be a little ‘bowl-der’ and sign up for a local sports organisation.

Members of Tywyn Bowling Club are looking to expand their membership over the summer months.

Linda McFall, a representative of the club, said: “Despite the mixed weather we have been having so far this summer, Tywyn Bowling Club has managed to hold a successful friendly match against Fairbourne Bowling Club on a fine day.

“An enjoyable afternoon with everyone having fun bowling and socialising with friends old and new.

“There is always a friendly welcome for new players, why not give bowls a try on one of our mixed social sessions held every Tuesday at 1.30pm and Thursdays at 6.30pm, throughout the season at the green in Tywyn Play Park.”See this week's north editions for the full story, in shops and online on Thursday
