I write in response to Jean Miles’ letter of 30 April that we need to get back to work.

I’m in total agreement - but NOT now. The government has put these restrictions in place to save lives. Yours, mine, and others, whilst protecting the NHS.

Any relaxation to these measures in any working environment would put life at risk, and possibly create a second wave of Covid-19. So I would ask that we all continue with the lockdown, albeit appreciating this can be very difficult at times.

Looking forward to better times ahead, sooner rather than later. Stay safe...
