Madam,
A letter from Llanbedr last week criticised me and urged the expenditure of £14 million on a redundant Llanbedr bypass to nowhere which is not yet even surveyed.
All we need are traffic lights at the bridge and a pedestrian walkway, costing roughly £150,000.
This was thinking for 2019 when we need to think for the 2020s.
What will be the fate of west Wales after Brexit?
What will be the effect on our hill farmers when complexity and tariffs endanger the market for their lamb?
What will be the effect on tourism when EU citizens have to get visas?
What will be the effect for all of us when we have to reduce the mileage we cover in our cars?
There is a relevant quote from the English Civil War: “Trust in God, but keep your powder dry”.
Yours etc, Graham Tottle, 2, Maes Artro, Llanbedr.
