AN ABERYSTWYTH woman who abandoned plans to go sight-seeing in the centre of Paris last Friday night has said she was “lucky” to avoid being caught up in terror attacks which killed at least 129 people.
Rhiannon Rees, who was in the French capital for a tourism and holiday apartments conference with a colleague, decided not to venture out into the city centre from her apartment a few miles away because the pair were “too tired”.
“We were extremely lucky,” Rhiannon told the Cambrian News.
“I really wanted to go out exploring and visit the Eiffel Tower.

The French capital was hit by seven separate terror attacks across the city, with gunmen opening fire on bars, clubs and restaurants while three bombs went off around the city’s stadium Stade de France as an international football match took place.
Rhiannon said the first wave of attacks were “very scary” and there was a “lot of confusion”.
