The Met Office has updated its weather warning for west Wales for today, now saying that strong winds are expected that may cause some disruption.

The Met Office said: "Very strong westerly and then north-westerly winds are expected to affect parts of Wales, south-west and southern England during Sunday evening and again during the early hours of Monday, easing soon after dawn.

"Gusts of 50-60 mph are likely inland and 65-75 mph around some coasts.

"The very strong winds will be accompanied by heavy and often squally showers of rain and possibly hail. Large coastal waves are also expected.

The timescale has been amended, with the bad weather predicted from 6pm Sunday, through until 9am Monday, 9 December.

The yellow warning affects Wales, including Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Gwynedd, Pembrokeshire and Powys. It also affects parts of England
