Madam,
It would seem that D A Thomas and I have the same views about parking on pavements (‘Action needed after two fatal crashes in just a week’).
As a former police officer, he is even more aware of this antisocial behaviour.
Unfortunately the email sent last week to Dyfed-Powys Police officers didn’t do the trick as the ‘white van man’ I approached has parked on the bus stop all this week. How arrogant some selfish people can be.
Mr Thomas also mentions the Mill Street development which I wrote to this paper about in November 2017.
I asked if the council had checked the detailed plans of where the road, roundabout, traffic lights would go to ensure adequate space and safety for pedestrians even before a brick was laid.
Unfortunately I haven’t seen any reply from our councillors from that day to this and agree that the Welsh Assembly, Ceredigion County Council and Dyfed-Powys Police have to meet and take action before there is another tragic accident.
Yours etc, Sue Slocombe, Llanon.
