Madam,

As a result of the public event held at Tregaron in December last year, I have over the last few weeks - using appropriate channels - been trying to establish the facts regarding the future of “day centre” facilities for the elderly currently based at Bryntirion.

The reference to “day care” in the plan seems to be misleading.The housing association - in keeping with many models of extra care hous-ing - will be responsible for meeting the requirements of its tenants on the Cylch Caron site, I understand.

The important question is, who will provide “day centre” facilities for the wider community of the Tregaron area and where will this be situated when Bryntirion closes?
