Why does the council leave itself open to so much criticism and ridicule?

For a period of more than two years an official council noticeboard, situated by Pwllheli’s taxi rank, continued to advertise the 2015 triathlon race.

Only in the last month was that notice replaced by an advertisement for our forthcoming 2017 triathlon. Another official noticeboard heralds last December’s outdoor Christmas carol singing event. Incidentally, both noticeboards are locked securely.

Pwllheli also has a public signpost pointing towards some mythical tourist information centre!

Pwllheli’s Chamber of Trade and Tourism needs an urgent early resurrection in order to combat official complacency. Many feel that exploratory meetings about a new chamber must be held before September.

Perhaps a few letters of support to the Cambrian News, or a public petition, could demonstrate to traders that “Pwllheli needs you”? There is much to be said for solidarity.
