A boy who raised £550 for the RNLI by walking five miles with his dinghy was joined by members of the Aberdyfi RNLI for the final leg of his journey.

Jasper Focardi Dolling, 11, pictured here with members of Aberdyfi RNLI, is from Cyfronydd near Welshpool. He sails his Topper dinghy at Aberdovey Yacht Club and is also currently training with the Welsh Topper Squad.

When the RNLI asked the public to join its ‘Mayday Mile’ fundraising event, young sailor Jasper thought he could support the scheme by taking his dinghy with him for a walk, to raise money for his local lifeboat station.

Aberdyfi RNLI gave him a big thank you and well done for his efforts.
