Llio, Llyr and Lewis Usher, Ifan and Mari Tomos and Gethin and Jack Roberts, who are all aged between seven and 11, will be heading up Snowdon for the first time on 4 July, weather permitting.
The children of Catrin Jen Usher, healthcare assistant, and nurses Helen Tomos and Catrin Roberts will be taking part in the hike.
Catrin told the Cambrian News why the money is being raised and who came up with the idea to hike up Snowdon.
She said: “We’re hoping to raise enough money to help buy just little things for the hospital. We are not sure yet what to buy as we need to see how much we can collect, etc.
“My son Llyr came up with the idea after seeing his sister cut her hair and raise money for the Little Princess Trust two years ago.
“He decided that he wants to raise for something and he chose Ysbyty Bryn Beryl after knowing how hard everyone has worked throughout Covid and how hard its been for patients not seeing relatives and vice versa.
“We’re trying to raise as much as possible.”
Catrin added: “The children are looking forward to taking part in the Snowdon hike as none of them have done it before and some of the staff have also decided to join us too.”
