A PWLLHELI youth project, which has provided opportunities for thousands of youngsters for almost 10 years, has shut down because of dwindling attendance figures.
Amongst these, were a meeting place, use of computers, a location to study and do homework, have a chat and get advice on various topics.
The young people, between the ages of 11 and 18, were also given opportunities to go mountaineering, coastal walking, coasteering and to pay visits to various places of interest. There was also overnight camping and the chance to go on various courses.
However, chair of the project Cllr Michael Sol Owen said they had no choice but to close down the project, which cost £18,000 a year to run, after membership reached a new low.
