BALA Town will be looking to maintain winning ways this weekend after the Lakesiders registered a well-deserved 2-0 win at Haverfordwest County last Saturday, when they turn their attention to the visit of Port Talbot.

The two sides drew 0-0 at the GenQuip on the opening weekend back in August, when Conall Murtagh missed a penalty against Andy Dyer’s men in a close meeting between the sides.

As of late Talbot’s last four visits up north have ended in losses - with Bala winning the last four matches at Maes Tegid - and they will be eager to take that total up to five on Saturday.

The Lakesiders’ squad is almost at full strength, with only Mike Hayes and Mark Jones doubts after Ian Sheridan’s return last week. Last week’s win has opened a five point gap between Bala in second place and Llandudno in third, but also keeping within sight of leaders TNS.

Port Talbot have seen the departures of Kaid Mohamed, Cortez Belle and Leon Jeanne in recent weeks and goalkeeper Steven Cann will be missing due to suspension after being sent off last week against Connah’s Quay. With no win in four matches, the visitors will be looking to bounce back from their recent blip in form.
