BORTH United let a three-goal half-time lead slip as Builth Wells staged a stunning second half comeback to maintain their outside chances of promotion from the Spar Mid Wales League division two with a dramatic 4-3 win.

Niall Coleridge had opened the scoring for the hosts with a superb volley on 10 minutes, and Borth then doubled their lead five minutes later when from a corner Sam Middleton flicked the ball goalwards, and the ball to bounced down from the crossbar and over the goal line.

Borth kept up the pressure and when Ben Willis’ long kick was headed on by a Builth defender into the path of Ryan Davies, he made it 3-0 at the interval.

Builth rallied in the second half and Tom Brown curled home a superb goal, and he then added his second goal within minutes, with a chip over the keeper.

Builth kept up the pressure as Josh Price equalised with a low drive, and Will Cleaton scored the winner from close in to complete a remarkable turnaround.
