BARMOUTH and Dyffryn United felt hard done to lose 5-3 against a Conwy Borough side setting the early pace in the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance division one.

Barmouth took the lead through Shane Jones on 26 minutes, but the visitors turned the tables through Tom Walsh netting on 11 minutes, Kevin Lloyd on 32 and Corrig McGonigle on 45 from a penalty.

Ieuan Brooks pulled a goal back on 65 minutes, but in added time two last-gasp goals from McGonigle completed his hat-trick, including another from the spot, before Barmouth’s Shane Jones responded with the last kick of the match on 97.

In midweek, first half goals from George Southerns and Ieuan Brooks had earned Barmouth a 2-1 win at Penrhyndeudraeth, with Liam Watson halving the deficit.

Penrhyndeudraeth were denied a point last weekend as visitors Greenfield plundered a stoppage-time decider to win 3-2.

The Deesiders opened the scoring through Connor Hughes on 16 minutes, but Matthew Hughes levelled on 23 minutes and Huw Quaeck made it 2-1 on 41.

Penrhyn had chances to extend their lead, but Greenfield’s Sam Jones struck on 70 minutes and again in added time, getting the better of keeper Caron Hughes.

Pwllheli crashed an 8-0 drubbing at Llangefni, just a week after beating their opponents 3-1 at home in the Welsh Cup.

The hosts opened their account after just three minutes from Craig Roberts, who pounced again to double the lead on 12.

Sion Pritchard extended the lead on 31 minutes, Iwan Jones netted on 38 and Harry Galeotti on 43, for a 5-0 interval lead.

Late pressure by the hosts saw Galeotti score again on 70 minutes, Matthew Jones on 86 and Galeotti with his hat-trick on 90.

In midweek, goals from Matthew Hughes on 4 minutes, Josh Lloyd on 8 and 36 and Llion Jones on 11 had earned Pwllheli an action-packed 4-4 draw at Nantlle Vale, who scored through Matthew Davies on 7 minutes, Simon Kay on 15, Rhys Williams on 30 and Aaron Griffiths on 75.

Mynydd Llandygai were 7-4 winners over Llandudno Albion, with Jamie Whitmore leading the way with four goals.

Whitmore netted on 3, 54, 81 and 90 minutes, Mark Smith had a double on 15 and 20, and Alwyn Roberts also scored on 70.

Llandudno netted replies through Chris Quinn on 24 and 80 minutes, Allan Davies on 37 and Dave Maddox on 73 minutes.

Nantlle Vale won 3-0 at Trearddur Bay United, thanks to Tim Cavanagh netting on 15 minutes and Rhys Williams on 35 and 80 minutes, while Llanrug United settled for Alan Mark Owen’s only goal on 68 to win 1-0 away at Llandyrnog United.

Llanberis and Llanrwst United drew 2-2 at Ffordd Padarn, after the hosts had let slip a two-goal lead, secured by Jason Jones on 53 minutes and Jonathan Cyster on 57, the replies coming from Hedd Williams on 61 and Stephen Whitley on 75.

Glantraeth have resigned from the league, after their title triumph last term was followed by a mass exodus of players.
