LAMPETER Town booked their place in the next round of the Emrys Morgan Cup with a 4-0 victory over Llanfair United Reserves on Saturday.

The visitors were frustrated for much of the contest, with the sides going in level at half-time.

Lampeter finally made the breakthrough on 71 minutes when Gethin Williams-Evans finished from a move created by Jason Jones. The goal opened the floodgates and Dion Deacon-Jones quickly doubled the lead after combining well with Riley Lovell.

Williams-Evans then took centre stage, scoring on 79 minutes before completing his hat-trick a minute later with Nathan Davies providing the assist.

Llanfyllin Town are also through after a 2-0 win over Penrhyncoch Reserves at Cae Baker.

Substitute Owain Lloyd-Jones broke the deadlock on 75 minutes following good work by Sam Norwood, and teenager Matthew Morris added a second moments later.

The Roosters finished with 10 men after Christopher Wilkins was sent off for a second booking late on.
