BOW STREET produced a stunning performance as they hammered Spar Mid Wales League division one leaders Welshpool 5-1 at Cae Baker last weekend.
Tom Evans netted a brace, along with goals from Mark Gornall, Rhun Garner and Neil Evans as the Magpies impressively bounced back from a 4-0 home defeat to Llanrhaeadr the previous weekend.
Ian Probert replied with a penalty, but Pool slipped to only their second league defeat of the season so far.
Aberaeron produced a solid defensive display as they settled for a goalless draw with Radnor Valley.
The hosts set up with three centre backs and Elwyn Edwards, Matt Clark and skipper Sion Clark were excellent, ably assisted by wing backs Anthony Evans and Gareth Lewis.
Holding midfielder James Hemmings also played a key role with Dan Bourne, and Mikey Gornall was their most creative player in feeding chances for Liam Jaques and Matty Davies.
The visiting keeper did well to save a long range effort by Sion Clark, but at the other end youngster Ollie Fairbrother also looked confident in goal.
He dealt well with a long range shot from Callum Matthews, and Elliot Morris had shot was blocked by the ever impressive Clarke.
At the other end Gornall blazed over from eight yards out, but in the second half Steve Morgan had an effort ruled out for offside and Lew Morris saw his half volley shave the post as Radnor finished on top.
Llanidloes Town stayed within touching distance of the league leaders with a 1-1 draw at one of their close rivals Llanfair United.
Llanfair made the breakthrough in the second half through Josh Astley, but George Clarke powered in a header from a Josh Evans corner to secure a draw.
Richie Evans also struck the bar for the Daffs, and they too had a goal disallowed and a couple of penalty shouts rejected, whilst Llanfair finished with 10 men after Toby Evans had picked up two cautions.
Goals by Jac Petrie, Peter Rees, Andy Evans and a Luke Evans penalty earned Carno a 4-1 win over Kerry, who scored with a spot kick from Luke Mumford.
Shaun Nicholls, Andrew Morgan and Jason Coles meanwhile earned Llandrindod Wells a welcome 3-1 win over Tywyn/Bryncrug, with Aled Jones replying.
Connor Bird scored a hat-tick as Knighton Town beat Machynlleth 3-2, with Sion Jones and Callum Page netting for the visiting team.
