CARDIGAN Town marched into the semi-finals of the Costcutter Ceredigion League Cup by brushing aside Felinfach 4-1 at King George V Playing Field.
Both clubs were under-strength for the tie, but it was the Magpies who set up a penultimate round clash with the winners of the Llandysul versus Crannog tie.
Iwan Jones fired the home side ahead, but Rhys James replied for Felinfach and Lee Forrester had a goal disallowed, before goals from skipper Iestyn Evans, Iwan Jones and Tomos Toft sealed the win.
Newcastle Emlyn’s hopes of catching runaway Costcutter Ceredigion League leaders Llandysul faded as they were held to a goalless draw with Aberaeron Reserves at Cae Sgwar.
At the other end of the table Bargod Rangers defeated Cilgerran Rovers 4-3.
Two goals from Jake Kelly and Lyndon Robinson put them 3-0 up, but the Coraclemen hit back with a quick-fire hat-trick by Dan Bellis before the break.
Rangers’ Jack Hewitt-Fisher saw his spot kick saved by young keeper Jonathan Ridley, but Hewitt Fisher sealed the win when he fired home the winner.
St Dogmaels registered a 4-1 success against New Quay, who had opened the scoring through Jason Thomas.
Johnny James levelled matters and Rhys Jones added a second just before the break, before Chris Jones bagged a second half brace to secure their win.
Ashley Summers grabbed a late equaliser as Pencader earned a 3-3 draw with Maesglas, with Zac Morgan netting a penalty and Rhodri Rees also scoring.
Billy Myers, Dan Jones and Ricky Holmes put Maesglas 3-1 up at one stage.
Dion Phillips netted a hat-trick as Ffostrasol beat Aberporth 6-2, with further goals scored by Iolo Thomas, Bleddyn Morgan and Carwyn Morgan.
Llanboidy beat SDUC 10-0 with Dafydd Vaughan and Rhys Jenkins netting hat-tricks. Sion Thomas, Williams Ellis and Celt Thomas Jones also scored.
