PENPARCAU eased to their fifth win in six matches in the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth and District League division one with an emphatic 8-1 win over Penrhyncoch Reserves.

Four goals from Nathan Warren led the way for free-scoring Arky, who are level on points with Tregaron Turfs, Llanilar and Bont at the top of the league table.

Jake Bush also scored twice, and singles from Andrew Gittins and Mike Gornal completed their scoring, with Josh Shaw replying for the Reserves.

Tregaron Turfs are now top of division one on goal difference after they registered a big 10-3 home win over Machynlleth Reserves.

Llyr Davies scored four times for Tregaron, with Rhun Garner and William Williams also scoring doubles, along with goals from Sam Jones and Ifan Jones.

Talybont ended Llanilar’s perfect record to register their first win of the season with an entertaining 5-4 success at Blaendolau Fields.

Guto Roberts fired a hat-trick for Llanilar, and Ryan Edwards also scored for the visitors, but they were unable to make it six wins from six matches this season after racing into a three-goal lead.

Talybont fought back and reduced the arrears before half time, through a strike by Jamie Evans and a headed goal by Clint Middleton.

Taly then started to dominate the second half and scored a further three goals through Jamie Morgan, Jamie Evans from the penalty spot and Osian Thomas.

Llanilar came back into the game towards the end of the match, but Talybont held firm for a welcome victory.

In division two, a Chris Jones goal earned Dolgellau Reserves a 1-1 draw away at Padarn United Reserves, with Paul Keegan getting on the scoresheet for the hosts.

Chris Wylde scored four goals and Antony Tedaldi once as Penrhyncoch Reserves won 5-1 at Llanilar Reserves, with Sion Anthony Jones netting the reply, and Llanon beat Borth United Reserves 4-2.
