PORTHMADOG squad and management team enjoyed breakfast at Spooner’s on the Cob, before preparing for the big match at Y Traeth against Ruthin Town in the Novira Cymru North on Saturday.
The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways is one of the club’s loyal sponsors and has supported CPD Porthmadog for many years.
Despite the showers, there was an opportunity to take a photo to mark the visit, reflecting the close relationship between the club and the sponsor.
The squad walked down Porthmadog High Street on the way to The Traeth, meeting some of the loyal Red and Black supporters. Community sessions like this play an important role in strengthening the bond between the team and the town.
Indeed, the visit proved to be the perfect spark — leading to a deserved 3–0 victory over Ruthin Town and securing the points that moved the club up to sixth place in the Novira Cymru North League.
The club thanked Osian Hughes of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways and the Spooners staff for their warm welcome.
