PWLLHELI Reserves produced a five-star performance as they launched their new campaign in the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance with a solid 5-1 home success over Nantlle Vale Reserves.

Owain Paramore and Iwan Roberts fired the hosts into a two-goal advantage on 25 minutes, but Aaron Davies Thomas replied for the visitors before the break, only for second half goals from Lee Sampson and Stan Topliss, with a quick-fire brace around the hour, to seal victory.

Porthmadog Reserves meanwhile went top of the Reserves Division on goal difference with an impressive 4-1 win away against Llandyrnog.

Once again Sion Parry was among the goals with another brace and the others to find the net were Dylan Reece and Cai Henshaw. Matthew Pendleton netted a reply for the visitors.

Elsewhere Ian Williams and Gwyn Jones both scored twice as Llanberis beat Llanrwst Utd 6-2, with Owain Jones and Peter Mansour also netting, after Craig Carpenter had pulled one back.

Connor Core opened the scoring, before Jonathan Neath and Kerion Weston scored doubles as Kinmel Bay beat Llangefni Town 5-2. Rhys Williams and Rhodri Buckland replied.

Goals from Ben Rowlands, Robin Thomas and Ben Owen meanwhile earned Llanrug United a 3-2 win at Penmaenmawr Phoenix, who netted through Hayden Tidswell and Darren Hughes.
