BOW Street Reserves marched on into the next round of the Len and Julia Newman Memorial Trophy, courtesy of a solid 5-1 win against Aberdyfi.
Shaun Jones scored a hat-trick for the Magpies, with Pete James and Osian Burrell also getting on the scoresheet.
In league action, Talybont came back from being a goal down to beat Penrhyncoch Reserves 3-1, to keep up their pressure on leaders Bont at the top of the Cambrian Tyres division one.
Talybont had squandered some good chances early on, and it was Penrhyn that took the lead when Dave Newton netted 10 minutes from half time.
Talybont kept their focus, however, and they scored three times after the interval through goals by Mikey Fitzpatrick, Jac Williams and Ben Hall.
Llyr Morris scored four goals as Aberystwyth University Reserves produced a convincing performance to beat Machynlleth Reserves 5-1, with George Taylor also netting for the students. Sean Evans scored for Mach.
Dolgellau Reserves are through to the quarter-finals of the Cwpan Coffa Dai ‘Dynamo’ Davies after they registered a solid 3-1 win over Costcutter Ceredigion League side Lampeter.
Goals from Iwan Lloyd, Lee Riches and George Jackson-Townshend earned the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth and District League side the win.
