A 14-YEAR-old Llanarth schoolgirl has raised an astonishing £11,636.13 for Macmillan Cancer Support by staging a non-stop 12-hour concert.

Talented multi-instrumentalist Megan Davies, from Llanarth, recruited fellow local musicians for the event which was held at Llanina Arms Hotel in November.

Sue Reece, McMillan’s fundraising manager for Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion, described Megan’s fundraising efforts as “inspirational”.

She added: “I really take my hat off to Megan for undertaking such an ambitious and successful fund-raising venture and pulling it off in such great style.”
