We would like to thank everyone who has supported us during the 18 months of hell my family and I have suffered.

At last after 18 months, Llanon councillor Caryl Vaughan has been sentenced by Swansea Crown Court for causing bodily harm through wanton and furious driving in an incident involving my son, his friend and their dogs. The two children were left trapped on a footpath after the pick-up truck crashed.

We have had to wait 18 months and as a result the two boys have suffered 18 months of misery and hell.

The majority of the people of Llanon have supported us.

But we have had no support from Llanon Council. They haven’t asked how the children are, or suspended Caryl Vaughan.

Is what’s left of Llanon Council’s reputation more important than the welfare of my son and his friend? So much for council code of conduct.

We will be reporting Llanon council to the Ceredigion monitoring officer Elin Prysor and the Public Services Ombudsman Wales.

We have suffered enough and we hope this is the beginning of justice for us all.
