Suspected calls for help at sea led to an early call out for Abersoch RNLI.
They were paged at 4.52am on 29 August when two vessels heard what appeared to be calls for help over the VHF radio.
Holyhead Coastguard also heard the calls which were identified as coming from the St Tudwal’s Islands area.
The crew was asked to carry out a radar search from Aberdaron to St Patrick’s Causeway. The area around St Tudwal’s Islands was searched upon completion of the search pattern.
Satisfied there were no casualties or casualty vessels to be found, Abersoch RNLI left the scene at 7.59am.
If you get into difficulty or spot someone in trouble dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.
