ABERYSTWYTH is “Britain’s safest city” according to a survey of thousands of people across the country.
As part of it’s “Unbroken Britain” survey — a look into how friendly, welcoming, and polite Britain’s cities and towns are — personal finance firm Provident Personal Credit took a look at which British cities are the safest.
Aberystwyth took the top spot as Britain’s safest “city”, scoring a massive 8.3 out of 10.
Residents of Aberystwyth are the most likely of any town or city in the UK to stop and say hello to strangers in the street, with the survey finding that 89 per cent of the townspeople do so frequently.
Provident asked thousands of people in cities and towns across the UK to rate how safe their hometown is.
The responses were tallied and each city or town was given a score out of 10, with one being the worst possible score.
