Police in Cardigan are becoming “increasingly concerned” over a rise in anti-social behaviour at a nearby wildlife centre.

At Cilgerran Wildlife Centre, concerns have been raised over “animals being attacked” and “youths drinking and taking drugs”.

Officers from the neighbourhood policing team have stepped up patrols after a number of incidents were reported at the site, and have called on visitors to report any “unruly behaviour”.

Police said: “There has been a rise in anti-social behaviour at the Cilgerran Wildlife Centre, with animals attacked and youths drinking and taking drugs.

“Visitors to the reserve are encouraged to be our eyes and ears and please phone the police to report any unusual or unruly behaviour.”

Anyone with information, or witnesses anti-social behaviour is urged to report it by contacting Cardigan police on 101.
