A body has been found during the search for a missing Penegoes man.
Antony Oldham, 47, left his home address in Penegoes, near Machynlleth, at around 4pm on Sunday, 12 September, to go for a walk and hadn’t been seen since.
Police officers and other rescue services had been conducting a wide-scale search for Antony since he was reported missing and this afternoon, Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that the body of a man had been found on Sunday, 19 September.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Sadly we can confirm that a body of a man was found yesterday afternoon, Sunday, 19 September, during the search for Antony from Machynlleth, who had been reported missing.
“Formal identification has not yet taken place, however Antony’s family have been informed of this development.
“Our thoughts remain with the family at this time.”
