The body of a man that washed up on Llansanffraid beach in January has been formally identified.

Dyfed-Powys Police has this morning confirmed that the body is that of Romanian national George Vivara, who was reported missing just after Christmas in Ireland.

A police spokesperson said: “Following extensive enquiries, the body found at Llansanfraid Beach, Llanon, on Monday, 25 January, has been identified as Romanian national George Vivara.

“He had been reported missing at Coolock Garda Station, Ireland, on 28 December.

“Next of kin have been notified.”
