The body of a 15-year-old girl has been found in woodland in Tanygrisiau.
Police said “the circumstances of the tragic incident are not being treated as suspicious”.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “We are saddened to report that earlier today, police officers discovered the body of a 15-year-old girl in woodland in Tanygrisiau, Blaenau Ffestiniog.
“This followed a call received by police at 8.24am, reporting a concern for safety for a local girl."
Detective Chief Inspector Lee Boycott added: “The circumstances of this tragic incident are not being treated as suspicious, and the local coroner has been informed.
“I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the family, and I would request that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time.”
